The provision of services is chronic in Brazil

The provision of services is chronic in Brazil.
And why does that happen? It’s easier, it’s less work, after all this business, this hotel is not mine, so no reason for me to detain so much for something that is not mine? Unfortunately this is the mentality of many people who work with service provision, in this case here in hospitality.
To put it bluntly, I say that many hoteliers are or are in fact accommodated. I always like to talk to the people who work with me – “Cargo doesn’t mean anything” – The market, companies need people with attitudes and this is increasingly scarce especially when we talk about providing services. It’s a shame, isn’t it? Every day is a great opportunity to accomplish something new, different, that makes our customers come back and speak well of our service.
What made you work in hospitality? Did you choose this profession out of necessity? Or was it the profession that chose you? Regardless, it’s a great opportunity for you to grow and develop – make your choice!
I’m absolutely sure you’ve heard that – “I can’t stand to say the same thing every day” – yes, I’ve been doing this for over 20 years and if I’m still in the hotel industry, I’m going to have to say it forever and there’s no way. Are you tired of this? You can’t take it anymore? Does that wear you up? Frustration? Simple: CHANGE OF PROFESSION! Make your choice, move on and be happy.
Stop hiding behind your job or your famous badge.
Most professionals working in this segment of hospitality see this only as a job, that is, it is another way to survive in a dignified way in this country and without any expectation of growth for not wanting to pay the famous price of investing in its success. This requires a lot of dedication, effort and patience, as it does not happen overnight. Success is expensive and takes time.
Rare people manage to pursue their goals, that is, they need to seek to improve their way of seeing the whole on a daily basis. Be careful not to have immediate attitudes, as somehow this may impact a high price in the near future.
Have strategies in your professional life, otherwise you will hardly have any positive impact on the company you work for. No longer be a frustrated professional in the market, as this makes your service delivery mediocre. And that is why I refer that our service provision in Brazil is experiencing a chronic crisis.
Your guest, your client who pays your salary deserves you to give your best. Be worthy of the responsibility entrusted to you, be worthy of the office you hold, and make a difference.
Invest in yourself – keep an eye on your prize and with that you will be a professional that the market will want along with it and no longer one in the midst of so many. Brazil receives many foreigners and believe me, many are extremely disappointed with our service provision and this reflects directly in our image as service professionals. It’s past time for us to change that.
Have goals, goals and fight daily with great perseverance and patience. Your result will appear and be valued, even if it is long-term, and it will be worth having paid the price.
